Yours truly

Since I've only just started this blog, there isn't much you know about me.. unless you're crazy good at reading between the lines. The first thing there is to know, is that I like my privacy. But that doesn't mean I won't ever share things about myself. Why would I have started blogging in the first place if that was the case? :) I just won't go into too much details.. For instance, I'm not comfortable telling everybody where I live, or where I work. Most likely I won't post that many pictures of myself, either. And that's just a waste of talent, because I'm an expert with selfies.

But something's gotta give.

*I'm 23 years old
*I have one brother, he's 20
*I live alone
*I'm kind of restless sometimes, and that's one of the reasons I love to travel. I like being on the move.
*m&m's are my favorites.. they combine candy and chocolate in various flavors, what's not to like?!
*TV-shows are my weakness

Not much, but now you know some trivia about me. I'll tell you more as this blog progresses.

One more thing... am I the only person in this world who's not into Google+? I didn't want to join, but when I created this blog, I suddenly had a profile. Not cool. Technology isn't really my thing, I guess that's not hard to figure out :) I'm all about social media, but there are sites that I'm not that excited about, and they are Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. I just don't see the fun. I am considering Instagram, though. Will let you know if I ever join!

I hope this Monday isn't/wasn't as bad as Mondays sometimes tend to be. Looking forward to the weekend again! And I actually have the next two days off, so yay for that!

Project X

I have every intention to make this blog a success, but sometimes life just gets in the way. I bet you know what I mean. You look at your computer, and wish you could just sit down and type, but there are a million other things that have to be done by the end of the day. As an aspiring writer, actually finding the time to write can be quite a challenge... I should know. Sometimes my day job alone takes so much out of me, that I just want to sleep after a shift, or completely space out and watch TV -shows. I want to write, I need to write, but I also don't want to end up living on Red Bull and spending my nights writing. I love to sleep too much to do that. Although... I won't lie. The thought has crossed my mind more than once.

Despite everything that life throws at me, I do feel I've made progress with the novel that I'm working on. It's been a work-in-process for about three years now. Three years! That feels like so long, but to be able to build a good story one must work hard and for as long as needed, right? :) I think it'll take at least another year or two until I have some sort of manuscript in my hands. I have written some, but there are still holes that need to be fixed.

I bought three cork boards. They're about 3ft x 2ft of a size, and empty. But not for long! The Beginning, The Middle and The End. I'm so excited about this project! After I'm finished with the boards, all I have to do is transfer my ideas to paper, form the story. It'll be a rough path, but in the end, I believe, totally worth it.

Stepping into the not unknown

Hi people!

I'm Lucy. A writer, a hipster, a bohemian soul, somewhat of a loner... you know, the typical "suffering artist." Just kidding :) I'm your average girl who's trying to live her dream. Corny? I'm good at corny.

I'm not new to blogging, but it's never been a great success with me. I've decided to put all that behind me, though, and give it a fresh start. Can't help it, I love to blog! I've been writing short stories, poems and lyrics since I was a kid, and it's what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. Writing is a huge part of me, and I would love to publish some of my work for you to read at some point. Right now I'm also working on my first novel, and will keep you updated in the upcoming posts on how that's coming along.

Other than writing, I enjoy reading (kind of goes hand in hand with the writing), watching movies and TV-shows, traveling, decorating and fashion. These will all be a part of this blog, and I can't wait to get started! Starting off with a blog can be challenging, I should know. Gaining readers and receiving feedback is not the easiest thing in the world, but if you're reading this and keep reading in the future, please subscribe and tell your friends who might like it as well! I'm excited to meet new people this way and want to write about things that interest you!
